¿WHY GIVE?
Fundacion Octaedro wishes to expand its training program for teachers from poor schools around Ecuador (South America), which is centered in the use of new information and communication technologies and the promotion of an open dialogue in the classroom.
This program started in 2001 and has benefited over 5,000 students from poor urban and rural schools. It was funded intially by Octaedro, sponsored in 2003 by the Inter-American Development Bank and it could reach many more students thanks to you.
Octaedro has centrally located, wheelchair accessible facilities; its own cafeteria service; a video projection, lighting and sound amplifying system; and a photography studio and dark room.
Your money would be paying for the direct costs of the program like the wages of trainers, and print and video material furnished to participating teachers and their students.
We have documented the success of this program by surveying our beneficiaries. Meet some of them by clicking here.
